Love-Fest

I couldn't help but share this love-fest. While Curt, Cash and Elly K take cute, loving photos for Gram one day:
 Hugs and kisses and all:
Jack wants nothing to do with it!

 Good chuckle every time!

Eight is Great!

This was the first (of many I'm sure) photo session that Mr. Cash wasn't in to. He was done with the day and sleepy but we got a couple of shots while Gram held Elly K out of the room.
But don't worry...Elly K always has to get in the pictures too:
Eight is even more great when you fall off a chair and take a hit to the face...Sweet little scabbed up nose and bruised forehead:

Two Year Old and Six Month Old Pictures

How amazing did these photos turn out?!? Molly Bridges did an amazing job once again and I can't wait to have more taken in the future with her! Side note - These pictures were taken inside the glass house at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens while it rained poured outside...and you would have never known if I didn't tell you.
She was able to capture our two kiddos' personalities beautifully!

I went to this session with no desire to even try to get a picture of Elly and Cash together. Once we saw how great Cash did, she suggested putting Elly K up there beside him. SO.GLAD.WE.DID!
 Melts my heart!
She also sends all the pictures in B&W. Here are a couple of them:

Random Summer Fun

Here are just a few of the photos that are currently on my phone right now. Totally random and totally fun!
EK likes to read Cash books. Cash wants to chew the book. See where this is going?:
A new food obsession..."carrots from the bag":
Elly K requested this picture. I think this is the first time she actually told me to take her picture (eating corn chips with her mermaid towel on):
TO.MUCH.CUTENESS:
She loves sunglasses right now. Even inside:
No words:
Someone is loving his puffs:
And someone else is loving corn on the cob:
I call this a "sugar-high-crazy-looking-smile":
Trying to distract her with a tent while I was clean (didn't work for long because she wants to help clean):
Sunglasses.....again:
Playing at the river at Gram and Pop's house:
Searching for tadpoles with Momma one morning. She does not like for me to pick them up:
Stay tuned for the next totally random and totally fun post coming to a computer near you!

Sit. Crawl. Stand!

WOW! That went fast. From making forward progress with crawling on June 28th till the day he got tubes on July 10th, this little boy did a lot of moving and grooving. When we got back from getting tubes, Mr. Cash took a good long nap. Well after that nap, he decided to pull up to the standing position for the first time!
I had caught him in his crib pulling up like this:
And then, he started doing this "half way there" position:
But he finally pulled himself up:
And now he won't stop:
We have had quiet a few falls over the past week! He wants to stand up on anything and everything. Oh and Elly K is not a fan that he can get her stuff off of the table and/or couch now. It won't be long and we will have a little walker in the house!

Cash got tubes...

So after two months of having an ear infection, Cash finally got tubes last week (July 10th). We had an appointment with the ENTs at Children's South on Monday (July 7th) and amazingly they had an opening on Thursday. I happily told them to sign us up! After 6 different types of antibiotics and numerous trips to the Doctor's office, we wanted our boy to get those ears fixed.

We got there a little after 6:00 am and they finally got him back for surgery at 7:15. For not eating and being awake since 5:15, he did really well. He didn't cry once until after he nursed (after surgery).
Such a big boy!
Try to stand up!
A sleepy Daddy and a hungry baby:
Post surgery loving sleeping on Momma:
He slept all the way home after we left. Then after some big boy bites (AKA oatmeal and fruit) he took a good long nap...and so did the rest of us.
Now if he will just start sleeping through the night again all would be perfect :)

Doctors Appointments

Leading up to getting tubes, Mr. Cash had many doctor's appointments. So I thought why not document a few of them!
Happy Ear Infection Baby:
He thinks I'm funny:
But he is very serious about ripping up the paper:
Gram even got in on the Dr appointments:
Happy after a shot:
Not as happy this day but I'm sure he was glad the shots were over with:
