Bows and Bucks: July 2012

Closing Day

In just a few short hours, Jonathan will be closing on this house (AKA our new home)! We are so excited that we are able to do this and cannot wait to get MORE ROOM! We have really enjoyed our rental house for the past few months, but it is very, VERY, small and more room is needed for our family. Over the next few days (a week to be exact) we will be getting this sucker ready for moving day. The only things that we must do before moving in next Wednesday is paint and have the carpets cleaned. Thankfully, Elly K has places to be this weekend so that Jonathan and I can get the painting done and I have already scheduled a carpet cleaner for Friday! Just as I did in the past with my other house, I will keep you up-to-date with all the changes that will happen in the future. This house is a blank canvas ready for us to personalize it and make it our own!

Cousins

Elly K's cousins on my side, Curt and Jack, have really taken an interest in her and she really likes them too.

It is just crazy to me that these two will be in the same grade considering the difference in size right now!

And since we're speaking of cousins, Elly K is no longer the youngest grandchild on Jonathan's side of the family. Jonathan's oldest sister, Jennifer, just had her third child, Jaxson, a couple of weeks ago!

Elly K is surrounded by Jackson/Jaxsons! I am SO THANKFUL that Elly K will have cousins her own age to grow up and play with at all the family functions! Not that she won't adore her older cousins as well (Austin, Jada, Jenna Grace, Jamison, and Curt), but it is always nice to have someone your own size to play with. :)

Lovebugs and Graces No More....

The time has come to officially change my blog name. For so many years (since 2008 to be exact), this blog was about me, my family/friends, and house updates. However, the times have changed and so has my life...drastically and for the better! Even though this blog will continue to be about family/friends and house updates (more on that later), it also needs to represent the others that are in my life now.

So Lovebugs and Graces is now Bows and Bucks!

He is from Jonathan's first hunt in Hamilton this past winter.

FYI - the URL address has changed as well. Instead of kcashion.blogspot.com it is now bowsandbucks.blogspot.com! If you follow me in a blog list you will have to make the change in your list!

Mom snapped this picture last week of Miss Elly K. I know....I'm bias cause this sweetie is mine....but DANG she's cute!!

Family Photo Time

Yesterday, while my mom was in town, I wanted to get some family pictures made! So after a nice cat nap and a warm bottle (for Elly K in case you were wondering), we headed outside for a quick photo shoot. Mom snapped a ton of pictures but, of course, you can only expect a few good ones when you are dealing with a little one in the equation!

After another cat nap, I decided to have a whirl with the camera. I think I accomplished my goal!

Tummy Time

Elly K loves playing on her mat these days! She really loves talking to herself as well. Yesterday I was on the phone with Carrie Beth and she had to ask me twice if I needed to go because she thought Elly K was crying. However, she was screaming and smiling at herself.
